Bar and Bat Mitzvah
The information below is contained in the Temple Beth-El Bar/Bat Mitzvah Handbook. If you have any specific questions about Bar/Bat Mitzvah or scheduling your child's simcha at Temple Beth-El, please contact our Office, 933-2740.
During the year prior to a child's Bar/Bat Mitzvah, children and parents attend a monthly Project Mishpacha class taught by Rabbi Goldsmith. During these monthly sessions, families will have the opportunity to learn more about the B/Mitzvah process. Sessions include: History of Bar/Bat Mitzvah, distribution of honors, discussions about Jewish identity, Mitzvah projects and more.
