Enrollment & Fees
All Temple Beth-El members in good standing have the privilege of enrolling their children in Religious School. Our grades correspond to those in public school and cover Pre-Kindergarten through Grade 10 (Confirmation). In order that students receive the best comprehensive Jewish education possible, it is strongly recommended that a student commence his/her Jewish education at the Pre-Kindergarten level.
The Temple Board has embraced a bold initiative for the upcoming year. Effective for 2011-2012, Religious School fees for members of Temple Beth-El will be included as a part of the benefit of membership. Any member in good standing may send a child of appropriate age to our religious school without additional financial obligation.
The Board has also voted to make our school program available to any unaffiliated Jewish child with at least one Jewish parent for the modest fee of $360. Because Jewish education should be the right of every Jewish child, not a privilege, the Board wants families to be able to embrace Jewish learning without impediment. Once enrolled in our school, all students in grades 3-12 will automatically be enrolled in our youth groups.
All students will be provided with a snack on Sunday mornings. Prior to the start of school each Wednesday, students in grades 3-6 will be able to select a food item and a drink from the canteen. To reduce the stress on our families, we have rolled the cost of all snacks and canteen into our tuition fee. There is no longer a need to worry about sending money for snack with your child each week. However, any time you wish to send an alternate or additional dairy or vegetarian snack with your child, you may.
Wednesday Night Pizza Dinner
High school students can choose to sign up for pizza dinners which will be served at approximately 5:45 p.m., immediately following minyan. The fee for pizza dinners will be $75.00 for the year or $40 per semester.
If your child has any dietary concerns or you do not for your child to participate in Canteen, please contact Rabbi Ira Flax.
A Jewish education is the right of every Jewish child. If you are in need of financial assistance or scholarship, please contact Bob Greenberg or Rabbi Goldsmith at 933-2740.
