Note From TBE President

As President of Temple Beth-El, it is my privilege to welcome you to our synagogue and to our new Web site. If you're a current member, you'll find our home on the ’net a convenient place to keep up-to-date and find out what's going on at the shul. If you're just visiting, please take the time to read about our congregation, which has served as a warm, welcoming home for Birmingham Jews for more than a century. We are affiliated with the United Synagogue of Conservative Judaism, and we offer programs that fulfill our three-fold mission as a Beit Tefillah (a place of prayer), a Beit Midrash (a house of study), and a Beit Knesset (a place of gathering). If you are interested in joining our Temple community, please call the synagogue office or come by. I'm certain that you'll find Temple Beth-El as inviting as my family and I did when we first arrived in Birmingham more than eight years ago.
Franklin Tessler, MD
President, Temple Beth-El
