Young Families
Young Families
Jewish tradition is family centered. At Temple Beth-El we welcome young families and hope that you will come to view your fellow congregants as an extension of your own Jewish family. To help you find your place at Temple Beth-El we offer several programs for families with young children.
Shabbat Baby-sitting
Every Shabbat there is free baby-sitting available during services. Our caring baby-sitters provide a safe space and quality care to your child. With this peace of mind you can enjoy your prayer experience more fully.
Shabbat Sing-Along
On the First Friday of every month, families with young children are invited to the Shabbat Sing-Along with Rabbi Goldsmith. Come with your children to sing fun Shabbat songs, listen to a story, and dance your way into the Sabbath.
High Holiday Family Service
On the afternoons of Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur please join Rabbi Goldsmith at a special family service. The service includes prayers, the singing of songs, a story, and more. Immediately following the family service on Rosh Hashanah, Rabbi Goldsmith and Cantor Gale lead congregants in the ritual of Tashlich.
Special Events
Throughout the year there are special events for families and their children. Check the calendar for the iJump Chanukkah party, a special Mother’s Day program, and more.
