Youth Groups
Welcome to the Temple Beth-El Youth Department!
The youth group consists of grades 3-12, divided into 3 different sub-groups as follows:
- Chaverim: grades 3-5
- Kadima: grades 6-8
- USY: grades 9-12
Each sub-group meets at least once a month either individually or as a joint program with other sub-groups. Our youth program provides a wide array of social, religious, and community programs for its members each year. The Temple Beth-El Youth Department is part of a larger sub-region known as Ein Gedi (Florida Panhandle, Mississippi, Georgia, Alabama, Tennessee, North Carolina and South Carolina) and an even larger region known as Hanegev, which encompasses all of the Southeast.
We officially changed our name in 2010 to SHUSY -- Sweet Home USY!
Even though our Religious School stops at grade 10, our youth groups continue for 11-12th graders. If your 11th or 12th grader is interested, please fill out the application and return it to the Temple office.
