Register for Civil Rights Docent Training - Form

Thank you for your interest in becoming a docent for the Beth El Civil Rights Experience .

The class is designed to give you the context and confidence you need to lead tours for visiting groups. Those who complete it and transition to becoming docents will be expected to serve as a group leader a minimum of 2 times every 2 months. Docents receive ongoing educational opportunities, get to be part of an awesome cohort, and make a difference at Temple Beth El and in our Birmingham community.

This year's session will run from February - April 2025 and final dates for in-person discussions and field trips will be subject to participant availability (as noted below). The course is a combination of self-guided learning, which you'll complete online, Zoom discussions, opportunities to shadow visiting groups, in-person field trips & final training and celebratory dinner.

No tech skills, no problem! We're here to help, so don't let worries about technology deter you.
